Hall of Honor

2011 Hall of Honor Inductees (l to r): Deborah Smith, Jay Gould and Luke Parkin

The Amesbury Schools Hall of Honor program has three objectives: (1) Provide role models for students by honoring former students who have distinguished themselves; (2) create excitement about education in Amesbury Public Schools; and (3) honor those educators and friends who have made extraordinary contributions to public education in Amesbury.

Honorees are chosen and honored each year from one of three categories: former students, former educators, and friends of education. The honorees are inducted at our annual Hall of Honor ceremony, which is AEFI’s largest and most significant event of the year. Plaques honoring the recipients are hung in the new Amesbury High School. (Read about all of our past HOH recipients here.)

Through the generous contributions of individuals and organizations, AEFI’s Hall of Honor Program generated close to $13,000 last year. The deadline to submit nominations for the 2012 Hall of Honor has passed. but the grant application deadline for teachers and administrators is March 26, 2012 at 4pm.

The 10th annual Hall of Honor Ceremony and Banquet is Friday, May 4, 2012.  We also welcome your inquiries about becoming a Hall of Honor sponsor.
